GfPS mbH was founded in 1992 by R. Rüdiger Dietz; the first company headquarters was a small building in a backyard in Eifelstraße. Dr Simon Dietz took over the management of the company in 2010 with the expansion of the laboratory in Talbotstraße. Here, too, the limits of the available space soon became apparent, both in the laboratory area and in the administrative areas, so planning began in 2019 for an extension, which was put into operation in May 2022. In addition to a large laboratory area including clean rooms on the ground floor, the extension includes a separate area for packaging testing as well as office space on the first floor and spacious training rooms with a future training laboratory on the second floor.
